Science in a van

Today we had a visit from the awesome people from ‘Science in a Van’. The morning started with some fun science tricks like pulling a tablecloth of a table and they use pull force.
Swinging a cup of water on a cardboard without spilling it, it is a pull force.

I learnt that there are 3 states of matter
  1. Solid
  2. Liquid
  3. Gas

I also learnt Dry Ice explodes when trapped in a container.
When Dry ice is put in a water bottle - a cloud of CO2 steams out of it.

Straight from solid to gas - CO2 doesn’t like liquid. And L&P can implode. Hot aluminium dunked into cold water. Had a little bit of water in it and gas. CO2

I had a really great time watching ‘Science in a Van’. I learnt lots of new, interesting, information about states of matter and I would highly recommend it to anyone else who had the opportunity to watch it. It was very entertaining because i did not know  this about science. Did you know if you put dry ice in a bottle with water it would make a cloud?
